Warning indicator tips
Your car's dashboard warning lights light up when something's wrong. As a rule of thumb:
- Red warning lights need immediate attention.
- Amber, orange or other colour lights often mean something needs checking by an expert at a garage.

It’s normal to see some of these lights briefly light up while you start your engine but they should go off once the engine is running.

Some amber lights simply means you need to refill the water tank under your bonnet, but you should check your owner’s manual for more details about the warning lights specific to your car.
